Zuma is stunning. The beautiful multi-level bar and restaurant is elegant with clean lines and low light, setting the wood and glass decor off to staggering effect, while the wall-sized windows reflect the scene and offer great views towards the Trade Centre.
The bar to restaurant balance is achieved to perfection with upbeat music, loud enough to create a vibrant atmosphere, but not so loud in the restaurant as to prohibit conversation with your dining companion.
The food arrives from the open kitchen and sushi bar artistically presented in classic Japanese style – like the decor there is simplicity with a distinctive touch of flair. An ideal place for a first date, Zuma’s only conversation stoppers will be the moments of blissful silence as you savour each morsel, from the crisp giant prawn tempura to the melting tuna sashimi and darkly delicious rib eye steak.
A couple of menu variants are on offer to entice lunchtime customers: the Ebisu menu offers excellent value for money at Dhs.110 for miso soup plus three courses; for those working in the DIFC vicinity, the Express menu includes miso soup and one main course for Dhs.58 – perfect for lunch on the run.
Located within the Gate Village, a boutiquey enclave attached to the DIFC, the Zuma experience is all that Nobu is, and more; this is not just a name above the door. Zuma is impressive on all counts. Whether for a first date, a business lunch, or a big night with friends, dining at Zuma is a treat not to be missed.
